Accenture acquires UK data intelligence firm Sagacity

Accenture has acquired Sagacity, a London-based customer intelligence and data analytics firm founded in 2005. The terms were not disclosed.
Sagacity brings AI-enabled data assets and proprietary technology that help enterprises resolve customer identities, predict churn, and optimise lifetime value. Its client roster spans telecoms, utilities, and financial services, sectors where Accenture already competes with large consulting firms.
The move follows a series of acquisitions by Accenture’s Data & AI practice in recent years. Unlike some of those deals, Sagacity’s assets are deeply verticalised, suggesting Accenture aims to productise its AI offerings rather than rely solely on bespoke engagements.
When we covered UK startup AI Score’s $5.4M raise last month, the funding was framed as part of a broader push to embed agentic AI governance tools into enterprise workflows. Sagacity’s acquisition suggests Accenture is pursuing a similar strategy, but from the opposite direction: starting with proprietary data assets and layering AI on top.
The deal also arrives as regulatory scrutiny grows over how AI models are trained on public data. Sagacity’s historical datasets, built from opt-in consumer panels, could help Accenture mitigate compliance risks while still offering clients differentiated intelligence.
